The history of Audemars Piguet begins in 1873 when 23-year-old engineering student Jules Audemars comes into contact with 21-year-old economics student Edward-Auguste Piguet. The two decide to set up a watch factory as an experiment. Their experiment quickly grew into a successful and prestigious watch brand. Audemars is always responsible for the technical development, while Piguet takes care of the affairs and takes care of the design of the watch cases.
